The City of Campbell is joining other local communities as part of a countywide effort to deliver prepared meals to home-bound seniors 65+ and adults 60-64 at high risk of COVID-19. The “Great Plates Delivered” program is part of the “Emergency Feeding Program Framework” introduced by Governor Newsom on April 24. This framework seeks to expand meal access to vulnerable persons, stimulate local restaurant recovery, and establish streamlined funding guidance for this program.
Restaurants interested in participating are encouraged to submit an interest form at the Great Plates Delivered Santa Clara County web page.
Campbell residents who would like to receive prepared meals delivered to their homes during the stay-at-home order must meet the following eligibility requirements:
- Must live alone or with one other adult who is also program eligible -
- Must NOT receive any other federal nutrition assistance programs, including CalFresh Benefits, home delivered meals; senior center meals (aka Congregate Meals)
- Must not exceed $74,940 in annual income (for household of one) or $101,460 (for household of two)
- Must not be able to obtain or prepare meals at this time
