The City Clerk’s Office has extended the deadline for accepting applications for the Planning Commission for one short term due to an unscheduled vacancy and for one full term that will expire on August 31, 2019. Pursuant to City Council Policy 1.9b, the City Council invites applications from current commission members and interested citizens.
PLANNING COMMISSION – one short term (Commissioner Michael Rich) expires August 31, 2021, and one full term (Commissioners Stuart Ching) expire August 31, 2019. Full term will begin upon appointment by the City Council and will expire August 31, 2023. The Planning Commission is composed of seven members who advise the City Council regarding a full range of development-related issues, including amendments to the City’s General Plan and Zoning Ordinance. Regular meetings are held on the second and fourth Tuesday of each month at 7:30 p.m. in the City Council Chamber of City Hall. In addition to the regular meetings, study sessions are held periodically. Additionally, members are periodically asked to serve on Planning Commission committees, including the Site and Architectural Review Committee. Applicants should give full consideration to the time commitment required for service on this commission. Eligibility Requirement: Campbell resident and at least 18 years of age.
The selection process will take place during August/September 2019.
