The City of Campbell hosted our Annual Great American Litter Pickup on Saturday, April 21, 2018 from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. at Campbell Park.
The cleanup focused on the following locations:
Los Gatos Creek Trail
The area along the railroad tracks adjacent to S. Winchester Blvd. between Camden and Hacienda Avenues
The area along the railroad tracks behind Rolling Hills Middle School
Additionally, work parties helped plant trees in the Nido neighborhood and hauled/spread fibar, sand and gold fines at Campbell Park.
Volunteers met at the park between 8:30 - 9:00 a.m. to sign in then dispersed into groups, where instructions on safety and debris removal were discussed. Gloves, vests and other tools were handed out to the volunteers.
Refreshments were provided in the morning, and the event concluded with lunch served at noon.
