Parks & Facilities

The water feature at Campbell Park, Jack Fischer Park and John D. Morgan Park are closed until further notice

Park restrooms are open seven days a week from 7:00 a.m. until 30 minutes before sunset, with the exception of Campbell Park and the restrooms near the tennis courts at the Community Center, which stay open until 10:00 p.m.

Temporary restroom closure at John D. Morgan Park
The restroom facilities located at John D. Morgan Park - on the West Rincon Avenue side, near the Baseball Field are being renovated.

The upgrades will include the complete remodel of both the men’s and women’s restroom interiors including new fixtures and amenities.

Construction will begin in October 2021 and is scheduled to continue through January 2022.

Portable restroom facilities have been placed adjacent to the concession area of the building for public convenience. Additional restrooms are located on the Budd Avenue side of the park next to the new All-Inclusive Play area.

Thank you for your patience while we perform the work to renovate these facilities and improve our parks system.

Street Tree Trimming

Most City street trees are located in the parkway between the curb of the street and the sidewalk. Where sidewalks are attached to the curb, trees immediately behind the sidewalk may be public street trees. Street trees are trimmed periodically by the City for vehicle and pedestrian clearance. Less frequently, they are pruned to enhance the structure, appearance, and safety of the tree. To report a need for trimming or pruning, call (408) 866-2145 or send an email.

Street Tree Trimming Clearance from Power Lines

The City does not trim trees away from power lines. This is done by Pacific Gas and Electric Company (PG&E). For complete information about PG&E’s tree trimming policy, or to submit a tree trimming request, please visit their website.

Street Tree Removal

The City of Campbell strongly supports the preservation of street trees. Trees beautify and enhance our neighborhoods, help to conserve energy, clean the air, and provide a home for wildlife. For 36 consecutive years the City of Campbell has been named Tree City USA by the National Arbor Day Foundation for its commitment to trees.

The City will remove street trees only if they are dead or diseased beyond saving. Street tree removals requested by adjacent property owners for any other reason are allowed only in very limited circumstances. In most cases these requests require the approval of the Parks and Recreation Commission and, if granted, require that the adjacent property owner arranges and pays for the removal and replacement of the tree with a large, 24-inch box tree. To discuss street trees, please call the Maintenance Division at (408) 866-2145 and ask to speak to the Park Maintenance supervisor.
