The City of Campbell will be hosting our Annual Great American Litter Pickup on Saturday, April 21, 2018 from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. at Campbell Park.
Tentatively our cleanup will focus on the following locations:
Los Gatos Creek Trail
Freeway on and off ramps at Camden Avenue and Highway 17
Along the railroad tracks adjacent to S. Winchester Blvd. between Camden and Hacienda Avenues
Along the railroad tracks behind Rolling Hills Middle School
Additionally, work parties will help plant/remove trees, haul and spread playground fibar, sand, and gold fines at Campbell Park, and paint a sound wall on Budd Avenue.
Rain or shine, volunteers will be asked to meet at the park between 8:30 - 9:00 a.m., for registration or sign in. Then volunteers will disperse into groups. Instructions on safety and debris removal will be discussed. Gloves, vests and other tools will be available, but volunteers may bring their own gloves and hand tools if they wish. Volunteers are encouraged to dress appropriately for the event.
Refreshments will be provided in the morning and the event will conclude with a lunch at noon.
Do something positive for your community! Volunteer, bring a friend, and/or make this a family event!
