Start your Oktoberfest weekend off on the right foot at Campbell's 9th Annual Oktoberfest 10K & 5K Fun Run/Walk.  Runners will enjoy the flat course and fall foliage on the popular Los Gatos Creek Trail adjacent to historical Downtown Campbell.  This family-friendly event is perfect for both runners and walkers.  Register by Friday, October 7th to receive a race t-shirt. The first 600 registrants will receive a custom Oktoberfest race medal.

You can pick up your race bib, race shirt, and goodie bag at the packet pick-up held at the Campbell Sports Basement in the Pruneyard Shopping Center on Friday, October 14th from 4:00 to 8:00 pm. 

Avoid the rush on race day, pick up your race packet, and shop for race gear and attire. Show your race bib at the register and enjoy 20% off all Sports Basement purchases during packet pick-up

The 10K will begin at 9:00am and the 5K following at 9:10am.

Registration is open now! Register online or fill out a registration form and return it to the Recreation Office by 4:00 pm on Friday, October 7.  Online registration will close on Monday, October 10 at 8am, but will be available again on RACE DAY 8:00 - 9:00 am at Campbell Park. The price remains $42 for adults and $22 for under 20 years old, and event shirts will be for sale for $10 (sizes and availability are limited).

The course runs along the Los Gatos Creek Trail and is fairly flat and suitable for runners and walkers of any level.

Chip timing will be embedded in the bib.  All runners/walkers must cross over the race pad to start their time.  Official race times will be posted at the post-race festivities, and on our website within 3 business days.

Start Line/Corrals:  We ask that you "self-seed" at the start line, with faster people starting in the front and slower runners/walkers and strollers toward the back.
Parking is available at the public parking garage at 1st Street @ Rincon (south of the Water Tower), the parking lot & garage at the Pruneyard, and some street parking. Please DO NOT park in Lloyd Square business parking lot on Campbell Ave. There will NOT be any race parking available at the Campbell Park parking lot off Gilman Ave. Parking locations will be about a 5 minute walk from the start/finish area.

Gear Check:  There will NOT be a gear check.  Please make other arrangements for valuables.
On Course: There will be two Water Stations for both the 10K and 5K
Finish Area: There will be bottled water for participants at the finish line.
In order to make this a green and enjoyable event for all, please dispose of any other garbage during the race at any of the water stations. Keep in mind, volunteers will need to collect any trash left on the course. 

Awards will be presented to Top 3 Male and Female finishers in each division. (View Divisions). Prizes for overall Top Male and Female finishers based on chip time will also be awarded. Awards Ceremony will begin at approximately 10:00 a.m.

First Aid stations will be available at every water station and the main stage. If you need medical help while on the course, please let a volunteer know who can contact First Aid Staff for assistance. 

Start/Finish Area: Plenty of temporary restrooms will be available at the start/finish area, as well as the Campbell Park bathrooms.  Wash stations also available.

Please bring your kids! The trail will be used in both directions, as well as open to the general public. For safety reasons and smooth flow for all, we ask that those participants with strollers start toward the back of the starting corral and stay to the right on the course.  The left lane must be open for passing at all times.


We like all animals, however due to safety regulations, there are no animals allowed on the course with the exception of service animals.  With large numbers of people running, animals could pose a safety hazard. Let’s keep our pets and human friends safe! 
We love music, and do not ban MP3 Players and iPod such items, however, if you do chose to use these, please make sure the volume is at a level where you can hear your surroundings. It is your responsibility to be aware of your surroundings on the course.

There will be healthy snacks, coffee, and water at the Post Race Festivities for participants only, provided by our generous sponsors. Also, please visit our vendor booths for giveaways, health assessments, and valuable information.

After the Post-Race Festivities, walk downtown (5 minute walk) to the Oktoberfest Festival and enjoy music, food, art, stores, and beverages.  Event Info
